I'm trying to decide if my machine needs replacing or if this is a common occurrence with the CDR It was recording CD's fine, until it started giving me "update" on the screen of the player. When it did that, it would no longer copy the CD.

Does anyone have a solutiuon, Philips is no help. It's been over a year and a half since i've tried. I feel like i have my old back. I should have known though In the early days of using my , i used Maxell CD-R music They always worked but eventually thay stopped making them. Inbetween i have also a second CDR which reacts the same way, so i guess it's the discs who are are at fault.

I have had a Phillips CDR I have never used it before. I don't have the manual for it. Does anyone have a copy of a manual in PDF Format. After recording the first songs are fine but after that they start skipping and or stops. Any help out there? I cleaned and greased all moving parts in deck drive but no change in activity occurred. After putting the disc into the recorder it always reads no disc. I have purchased about 4 packs of CD's and neither one of them is doing anything for me.
